The USEPA has implemented a new law that requires those who are paid to perform renovations, repairs, or painting projects in homes, apartments, condos, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 to become certified by taking a Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Course. After April 22, 2010, all target disciplines that work in pre-1978 housing will be required to have this certification for both the company and their workers.
